Read Across America Week:

March 2nd - Night Off!  Kids are sent home with no homework on this day to encourage families to step away from the work and the crazy and the TECH and spend some quality time together.  If you need some ideas of things to do click here

   The book fair is held in our school library.  Morning and evening hours are available so that families can attend.

March 21st - Rock Your Socks - World Down Syndrome Day

Kids are encouraged to wear fun socks to school on this day to raise public awareness and advocate for the rights, inclusion & well-being of people with Down syndrome

HES is proud to continue our tradition of supporting the families of the East Trenton Center of Habitat for Humanity. We collect gently used donations in the school parking lot on the THIRD M/T/W of every month, from 8am-9:30am.

Chubby's Project

HES is partnering with the Chubby’s Project for all grade levels to be a part of bettering our local community.  Each grade will be collecting themed items monthly to donate to the project.   Below is a list of all the themes.  Please don't feel confined to only donate to the months assigned to your child’s grade level.  Donations are very welcome every month, and can be dropped off at the front office or brought into school by the students.

Bunny Hop 5K - Introducing ... the inaugural Hopewell Valley Bunny Hop 5K Run/Walk! This fun community event in Washington Crossing State Park is sure to start off Spring on the right foot. 

Whether you are a tortoise or a hare, you do not want to miss this event!

Winners in age group categories will walk away with a chocolate bunny prize. The HVRSD elementary school with the most participants will get a $300 cash prize to be put towards the end of year field day! Get your bunny ears ready and prepare to shake your cottontail!  We look forward to getting outside with all our friends and neighbors.
